Hadoop in 2015: Predictive Analytics Take a Front Seat

In 2015, enterprise clients will look to predictive analytics as a way to capitalize on the unstructured data available in their Hadoop systems.

Prediction of Data through Analytics

Predictive data analytics will be a major focus for Hadoop users in 2015.

During this past year, we have seen Hadoop rise in popularity across multiple environments. Its infiltration into enterprise-class software is mostly due to its ability to store and manage large sets of data without compromising speed or accuracy. This has been important for teams that need to access their data quickly for storage product development and refinement, as well as for groups whose priority it is to address customer concerns.

Now that many companies have realized the value of Hadoop, they are looking at 2015 as the year to do more with that data, and predictive analytics is going to be the answer.

How Predictive Analysis Works

Predictive analytics is the process of analyzing data and transforming it into valuable information. Depending on the business architecture, this information can be used to improve an existing product or enhance one before it goes to market.

In the storage product industry, the ability to predict patterns across new and old data types is the key to eliminating costly issues, such as data unavailability or data loss. It is the difference between what consumers see as a highly reliable (read: valuable) storage product and one that causes more problems than it solves.

In order to adapt these capabilities for enterprise clients, storage product vendors will need to incorporate Hadoop into their processes in 2015. Vedams regularly collaborates with vendors who want to maximize data availability through predictive analytics, and offer customers more of what they need in the coming year and beyond.
